Today we woke up to winds of 50nm + 10 ft visibility and stuff flying everywhere. WTF. We believe that we were experiencing a Water Spout in a strom. Wow, I have never been in anything like this, Palm trees were breaking off and floating down the river. We lost Brad's new red jacket, our Sail La Vie rug and one of flags that were flying on the boat. Within an hour the storm had passed and it started to clear up. That is when we got the phone call from the Yacht Club that we needed to move the boat, they were expecting another boat in that spot at 1pm. We were expecting to stay one more night but no, we were now leaving in 2 hours. We needed to do our grocery shopping and bank errands while we were still at a dock, so we jumped up and headed out to get things done ASAP. Luckily by the time we needed to hit the road, the storm was gone. We decided to go to the city mooring fields and grab a mooring. We got it no problem, but the boats were all turning around in circles so it was kind of nerve wracking but we did not hit each other so we settled in. After lunch, I took Brad in the dinghy back to the Yacht club to get the car. He needed to take it back to Miami today. He will be taking an Uber back to our mooring spot and should be home soon. Here is a short video of the storm, but believe me it does not do it justice.
