Snorkeling at Fowl Cay & Mooring at Man O War Cay

Today we got up early and headed out of  Fisher's Bay towards Fowl Cay for snorkeling.  We arrived in Fowl Cay around 1pm and went for a nice long snorkel run. There were so many fish, I could not believe it, they seemed to be waiting to be fed. They would come so close to us just looking at us like  "Where's the food"!  We swam around the first small reef and half way around we ran into 6-7 medium size Baracua guarding their area.  The checked us out then left us alone, so we just keep swimming.  The we went over to a larger reef area and believe it our not found less fish but more coral, big Elks head coral.  We also found more Baracua's standing guard but these were a bit more aggressive, they kept following us close, so we got the heck out of there.  I of course had my trusty stick (which is actually a spear fishing pole) so if they came too close they would get it with the pole. In fact Brad did scare them off with the pole.  So we made it safely back to the dinghy, we have and new ladder and it helped tremendously in hiking me up in the boat.  And that was a good thing since I had a terrible leg cramp at the time.

So after snorkeling we headed for Man O War Cay, this is the island that is famous for boating building.  The Albury Family owned or I should say still does, in fact everyone on the island is related to one of the orginal founders in the Albury family.  2 Albury brothers own the boat repair shop. Mrs. Albury owns the Sail making shop and Andy Albury now makes model Bahamian boats like this father did, so of course we had to check it out.  Brad talked to the guy about possibliy featuring some of his boats on his website to help sell them and of course get a small profit for himself.  We did buy a small one for decorating our boat. As we walked the down today we noticed how clean the place was, in fact every island we have seen so far has been very well maintained, no trash around here, amazing. Attached are photos from today.
