Marsh Habour Boatyard is our new home for Sail La Vie

We will be storing our boat in Marsh Harbour this next season. We went to check it out today and found it clean and organized.  It is located on a river so it is not directly attached to the ocean.  They have hurrican straps with concret attachments.  Insurance wise it is no different than putting it on the hard in St Augustine.  I did love St Augustine the town etc, but it is just too far to drive back and forth to the Bahamas.  And truthfully we did not start having fun this season until we reached the Abacos.  Florida was ok but not really where we wanted to be.  It is all about the water here, the beautifuly tourquise waters of the Caribbean.  So if we start next season from the Bahamas then we can go around here more, there are over 700 islands just in the Bahamas to explore.  I am hoping to go to the Exumas next year, I hear they are gorgeous, plus better weather.  And better weather is what we need around here.  The weather windows have been about 5 days before the next weather comes, so you always have to be looking for the next secure port to anchor, moore or dock in. Chasing harbors and weather window, plus searching for the best sunsets is a full time job and one I enjoy when things are going smoothly, meaning the boat does not need repairs or a storm is not throwing us around. Here are a few beautiful sunsets to enjoy:
