Hannah's Visit is next week, we pick her up in Marsh Harbour on Sunday. The weather says it may rain on Sunday then clear up till the end of the week. Hopefully the weather will be nice for her, so she calm just chill and relax in the sun. We have a nice itinerary for her to see Marsh Harbour, Hopetown, Guana Cay and Baker's Bay. Some cute towns for shopping, museums and art galleries. Great restaurants, deserted islands for shelling and beaches for swimming and or snorkeling. The same day that Hannah leaves, my sister Cathy & Dino are coming aboard. Luckily it is also in Marsh Harbour that we will be picking them up. For their itinerary we plan to move the boat a bit more aggressively to place to place, with snorkeling and swimming practically every day, because Dino loves the water. Then we will have 2 weeks to relax and re-coop and then Stacy & the boys come for their visit. That should be a lot of fun too see the boys swimming and having fun on the boat. Then 2 weeks of being alone and then Cam comes to visit. He will be renting a small boat to take us around to some of his favorite spots for snorkeling, fishing and eating. Cam is a foodie so he will be taking us to all of his favorite restaurants. Then we need to start getting the boat ready to be put on the hard in Marsh Harbor for the season. It will be great having the boat here in the Bahamas for the start of our next season. Instead of 2 weeks of traveling down the Inter-coastal waterways or coastline then the Gulf Crossing experience, we will be able to splash the boat and go. Next seasons plan is to move the boat down the Bahamas chain to the Turks and Caico's. We want to see as much as possible of the Bahamas so we can decide whether we will want to do another season here or move on towards the Caribbean. If we decide to move further south then we may want to leave the boat somewhere near the Turks and Caico's'. From there we would go to the Dominican Republic then British Virgins. We are not sure yet if that is what we want to do. Brad thinks he does but he may find the Exuma's to be very much to his likings and want to stay, however the Grenadines are still calling him. He dreams of sailing up and down the Windward Caribbean islands. I on the other-hand am happy with the beautiful waters of the Bahamas. Not sure about the thornless passage through to the Caribbean. I prefer to go short distances, island hopping, where he likes to sail longer routes, so we shall see how it goes, one step at a time. We will be making decisions on a yearly basis. Leaving on the boat definitely has it's plus+ but it also has it's stresses, see previous post "Challenges & Struggles", in time we shall see if this is the lifestyle for us. We think it is but it is not without it's trials and tribulations. We will have to learn how to communicate better on the boat for it to work. Since we have been here we have had some difficulties with communication. I think we can do it, but it will take some adjusting. The headphones have helped a lot for the anchoring and mooring, but docking is still an issue. It can be very stressful to come so close to hitting the dock and damaging the boat. I recently anchored the boat myself and the boat handling was not as easy as it looked, in fact the boat is difficult to work with at times, especially when with small movements. The twin engine thing is different and we are still learning and of course each situation is new and different. Being open to learning and experiencing life on the boat.
