Today we crossed the Whale and it was very calm, which was great. But then we had a very rough night in Green Turtle Bay White Sound. The small storm we anticipated turned into a ragging mess. We were in the middle of cooking dinner when all of a sudden 30+ nm winds with pelting down rain started to drag us into another boat, and the fire drill began. Our boat was spinning out of control, so we brought the anchor up but it had a huge round mud clot surround the anchor. It was pouring down rain when we had to attempt to re-anchor, in the process we hit a small Catamaran, Brad could not see where he was going. We fended off the best we could and then took the boat away from the anchorage so not to his another boat and regroup. There was a guy on another boat yelling at us the whole time to stay away from his boat that was a large sailboat anchored closeby. He was not very nice but it did keep us away from his boat. But then the guy suggested going to the other side of the anchorage and getting a mooring. Needless to say it was very difficult to even see the mooring with the rain and darkness. I got a huge flash light and narrowed into the mooring. It was quite the challenge but we did it and was finally safe and tucked into the spot. We did end up dinging up our boat a bit but luckily the other boat was ok. We will have to get some repairs but at least we are still afloat. Our guest Cathy and Dino did great by not freaking out and staying out of the way while we handled the emergency. The next morning when the rain subsided we ventured into town and then ended up going on a trip with Brendel to feed the pigs and the rays. It was a fun trip to No Name island and Manjack. Brendel's boat was fast and smooth so it made it seemless. Attached at pictures of the pigs and rays. Sorry I did not get any during the storm pictures, I was a bit busy trying to fight the forces of nature.
