Harbour Island, Eleuthras

Harbour Island has renowned pink sand, bright splashes of cascading flowers, winsome architecture, bustle of metropolis coupled with the flavor of a tiny New England village - these go together to create an atmosphere on Harbour island unlike any other in the Bahamas. This was the description we read out of the Explorer Chartbook and I would have to say, it is pretty right on. It is slighty exaggerated when it comes to the pink sands, they are more tannish pink if anything, but I do see the rosy color especially when the sand mixes with the water and at sunset.  The beach however is beautiful no matter if it is pink or not, it is a 3 mile gorgeous clean beach. Today, Brad went kiting and I went swimming.  Here are a few photos from today's adventures, we stayed near a place called Ramoro's Resort, which was quite nice as you will see here:
