Sunshine in the Bahamas

Today the sun is shining and the seas are calm.  Brad has already gone standup paddling with our new friend next door on Kraken, Kevin.  I may go in a little while myself, of course I have been catching up with my sleep since the storm was not easy to sleep with. So anyway, today looks like it is going to be a nice day.  Most of the boat chores are done and now it is time for some fun. I might even paint today.  Gigi arrived yesterday so I think we are going to have a Women's March today with her and her friend Tu, maybe we will take Cheryl and Erin with us too.  As you can see we are meeting more people this season.  We are making an effort to befriend more of our neighbors so we can enjoy visiting around when we are stuck on the docks for some reason or another.  Last night we did a small party on Kraken with lots of delicious goodies, a cheese dip, fresh bread and a garlic butter and of course cheese.  Tonight there is going to be a Pot Luck at the Gazebo at 4pm, followed by a Dinghy parade to the Jib room across the bay and Strach & something music with a Fire Limbo Dance. Seems like we are in Hawaii now. So the fun begins.  Brad is feeling better now that the boat is fully functional.  He did a great job repairing things that were broken and upgrading other items.  He is putting in a high power fan in our room, should be great. He fixed the guest bathroom, the dinghy steering, the dinghy davits, repaired some leaks in the windows, the batteries are all charged up, the sails are ready to go, so we are pretty much ready to take on the adventures.  The battery charger is the only ragamuffin left to get fixed.  However if we get solar, they we won't need a stronger battery charger, so that is something to remember. After this season we will probably get a water maker and solar and then we can do longer cruises and be more self sustained. Sail la Vie
